Gallatin Gateway is a census-designated place in Gallatin County, Montana, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 856. The community is located along U.S. Route 191 in the valley of the Gallatin River, a north-flowing tributary of the Missouri River. Sphinx Mountain, el. 10,840 feet is a prominent mountain peak on the western face of the Madison Range in Madison County, Montana. The peak is located in the Beaverhead National Forest and Taylor Hilgard parcel of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area. Its prominence and isolation makes it easy to distinguish from Ennis in the Madison River valley.

The park is empty since the flooding! The flooding caused zero changes to the tours that we have always operated! We will see all of the parks highlights and Iconic sites plus hidden areas! Seize the moment and come to Yellowstone during an all time low in tourism! Our private tours are led by professional guides who have a formal education in wildlife biology. We will tour the park in modern chevy suburbans. We will see wildlife while visiting the most ICONIC destinations as well as hidden locations. During our day we will see Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Falls (308'), wildlife, large waterfalls, hidden geysers, and historic hotels. We will provide high end binoculars and spotting scopes for the entire group! It is our goal to educate your family on the science of the park and have them experience the wonder of hidden Yellowstone on each and every tour. For lunch we will stop for an incredibly scenic picnic style lunch along the shore of Yellowstone Lake!

This is the tour for you if you are visiting Big Sky and want to intimately experience Montana’s beautiful backcountry landscape in the winter. Snowshoeing is a fun activity for anyone with moderate fitness and no experience is required. We will pick you up in Big Sky and go to a nearby part of Gallatin Canyon that is actually in Yellowstone. We do not actually pass through a National Park Gate to get to this area. There will be many opportunities to view wildlife and it is common to see moose and possible to see wolves as well. We will snowshoe for as long or as little as you’d like, for up to 2 hours in duration. Your guide is experienced in navigating Yellowstone in the winter and will ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. We will provide snowshoes and poles for you in a variety of sizes. We will provide binoculars as well as hot beverages and snacks. Your naturalist guide is enthusiastic and will tell you all about Yellowstone's ecology, geology, and history.
